• Payment Information: When you purchase a book, we collect payment details through a secure payment processor. We do not store your full card details, but may retain the last four digits of your card number. For mobile money payments, we retain your full mobile money number. Your email address and account display name may also be associated with your purchase for watermarking purposes.
• Watermark Data: To protect purchased content from unauthorised sharing, we apply a digital watermark to protected books using one or more of the following: your account display name, your email address, the last four digits of your card number, or your full mobile money number.
• Device and Technical Information: We collect device information to optimise app performance, ensure compatibility, and enforce content protection. Depending on your platform, this may include: device model, manufacturer, hardware identifier, operating system name and version, screen pixel density, number of processors, and whether the device is a physical or emulated device. On emulated devices, a unique identifier is generated for content protection purposes. We do not collect this information on web.
• User Preferences and Interaction Data: We collect information about your preferences, purchase history, and app interactions to tailor content and enhance your experience.

2. Analytics

Currently, Golden Effort does not use any third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics. Should we choose to implement these services in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Golden Effort does not use cookies or any other tracking technologies on its website or app at this time.

4. Data Retention

Golden Effort retains user account information for as long as the user remains active on the app. Users have the option to delete their account directly from the app at any time. Once deleted, all related data will be permanently removed from our systems.

5. User Data Rights

You have the right to access and delete your personal data at any time. If you wish to delete your account or modify your data, you may do so through the app or contact our support team for assistance. Please note that modifying data is currently limited to account deletion and access.

Golden Effort uses third-party payment processors to facilitate in-app purchases, depending on your platform.

Golden Effort may transfer and process user data internationally in compliance with applicable data protection laws. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your data to other countries, including those outside your country of residence.

While Golden Effort is primarily designed for tertiary-level students and adult learners, users of all ages are welcome provided they meet the above requirement.
